Mara Harvey, CPA, CGMA
Founder, Owner of the Harvey Association
The Harvey Association began as a college student’s dream of having her own business. Choosing an accounting major, Mara obtained her degree at the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 1992. Understanding how tax and business laws play a pivotal role in the success of any business are her strong assets. Now combined with her 30 years of accounting experience, she can guide your individual financial or business goals to the next level.
Mara currently is a member of TN Society of CPAs, American Institute of CPAs and the TN Association of Accountants. She has served as President of Oakwood Lincoln Park Neighborhood Association with over 3000 homes and businesses, as a Big Sister with the Boys and Girls Club, and regularly donates aid to Habitat for Humanity, Ijams Nature Center and Young Williams Shelter.
Traci Price, Senior Accountant
Traci can help guide you through the ongoing issues of your accounting needs. A Knoxville native with over 25 years of tax and accounting experience Traci joined us in 2020. Her knowledge of multiple industries, practical sense of management and helpful hints to make your business successful has established her as a quality Senior Accountant. She is a true pleasure to work with even if it is on challenging topics.
Currently she is the Treasurer for P J Parkinsons Support Group of Blount County. She loves her music (especially live music!!) and spending time with her family, coworkers and many friends. Traci is a current member of the Tennessee Association of Accountants. She is a 1999 University of Tennessee graduate.
Angie Parker, CPA
Angela joined The Harvey Association in 2009. She has over 35 years of experience with several large CPA firms in the Southeast. A Presidents Scholar from Springhill College she formed a foundation in accounting with several large CPA firms in Houston, TX and Mobile, AL. She has over 20 years experience in construction, mechanical and real estate accounting divisions. She also excels in computer systems and databases.
Angela is a member of Tennessee Society of CPA’s. She enjoys travel and gourmet cooking when not serving our clients with focus and dedication.
She also enjoys play time with her large poodle pal.
Scott Moore, Contributing CPA
If experience counts consider 35 years of accounting work in partnerships, construction, corporate, non-profit and individual taxes. 10 years were with the FDIC providing consulting and criminal investigations for the agency. He also has certification for admittance to Federal Tax Courts.
He has always provided wise and thoughtful consultations for our clients in some of the most complex of issues. Experience in tax software and computers as a whole round out a very knowledgeable resource when called upon.
Scott recieved his J.D. degree from the University of Tennessee. An avid Jazz music aficionado and musician as well he supports much of Knoxville's jazz scene.
Brandy Walker, Office Manager
The glue that holds our office together, Brandy will greet you with a smile. From normal phone and scheduling duties to making sure everyone is comfortable in the office including our clients. She has had her own startup business as well as serving as safety compliance officer for local corporations. Brandy is blessed with wonderful family and friends that help keep her strong in a busy office enviroment.
Jim Harris, Operations, Consulting
From CEO, COO to chief bottle washer in over 35 years of small to enterprise level business experience Jim can relate to your business needs. He has had numerous startups of his own as well as over 10 years of General Electric corporate experience. With Six Sigma training to Koala T project management , Microsoft and IBM certifications he can keep you current in technology requirements for accounting needs. Over 15 years of International Supply Chain management and Electronic Data Interchange specialties can aid your business to be efficient, productive and competitive.
Having lived and worked internationally as a global business leader for over a decade Jim can benefit your growth on a larger scale. He also has local business acumen from trademarking and starting the original Big Orange Specialties to managing The HarVestor Group real estate mangement and investment company.
